Award winning writer
Awarded first prize for having written the best short story in _ALL_ of primary school, and received a copy of Roald Dahls Fantastic Mr. Fox, a book I still think is pretty okay.
Welcome and thank you for checking in on my webpage!

created, and is unique just
for you. It will never (in many billons of years) look the same again. I hope you will enjoy your visit.
More about me: My work tends to shapeshift, becoming whatever form my latest idea demands. I started out as a classical percussionist at nine years old, which was great until I realized I liked bending the rules more than following them. So I moved on to composition, then songwriting, then various forms of electronic music, then sound design for stage arts, and eventually wandered into digital media. I’m also infinitely curious and love learning new things, so if it's creative, chances are I’ve dipped my toes in it.
I usually gravitate toward sound. There’s something direct and instinctual about it. It bypasses
logic and speaks straight to emotion, in a way few other mediums do.
I’ve also been doing it
forever, so I guess those neural pathways are super jacked now.
But if there’s one thread that runs through all my work, it’s a deep appreciation for silliness. I’m genuinely interested in the dumb, the absurd, and the naive. Partly because it’s fun, and partly because it’s disarming. Wrap a heavy idea in something ridiculous and people don’t see it coming; their guard drops, and suddenly, the message hits harder. It also happens to be a handy way of poking fun at art itself, which (let’s be honest) could use the occasional poke. Life’s too short not to be cheeky.
Feel free to email me at konstantin.aistre@gmail.com if you want to talk about something. All emails are welcome (except for spam).

Starting the music collective Gluteus Maximus, and putting on a bunch of shows. Years later this culminates in a web of clubs, releases, and record labels. I still put on shows to this day, both official and DIY.
Getting an own set of keys to my high school art teachers gallery and studio, after having two of my paintings exhibited at a youth gallery in Berlin.
Playing timpani in the orchestra of the Polar Prize ceremony (the year Peter Gabriel is one of the winners), and getting the privilege of saying hello to the back of Peter Gabriel (from 30 meters away).
Actor and musician in children’s theatres and guided ghost story fairytale tours at Confidencen and Svartsjö Slott. Been a top recommendation in the kids culture section of newspapers more than once.
Winning bronze medal in the Swedish National Championships of Street Music (playing drums on junk, buckets and my moms old frying pan, with my friend Rikard).
Touring with junk drumming at different ad agency offices in Stockholm, that are in need of entertainment during their kickoffs. We’re young, and dumb, and still don’t know our worth, so we do it almost for free. But at least we could buy new drum sticks.
Scoring a bunch of plays with music and soundscapes, and setting them up with portable touring rigs to be able to control the sound themselves is a fun thing. So is working with foley or podcast jingles and blurbs. I move into more commercial work, because bills are nice to pay.
My computers hard drive dies, and all my poetry and creative writing is lost. I see this as a sign
from a higher power that I’m not supposed to be a writer. Yes, at this time I realise for the first
time that I’m a huge drama queen.
However, I find that I'm really good with copy and technical writing, something I still do,
occasionally.
Starting a creative digital studio, together with my (now) spouse Mati, that mostly focuses around digital design and development. Today we've worked with some clients you've definitely heard of, and a lot of clients you probably didn't know existed. We work in all fields, but do have a soft spot for culture.
Actor in the short film Konstantin written and directed by Charles Ludvig, a film about my death, and subsequent resurrection as a hamster. The hamster Kerstin has more screen time than me.
Hired as a drummer for the provocative post-girlgroup Cupid Kidz. Their biggest hit is called Ganja Poopoo. This was a weird and subversive time.
Picking up painting after many years pause, but I don’t feel like a _real_ artist, so I stop. I still have some of these paintings on my walls though (and my mom loves them).
Hired as a drummer for Charles Ludvigs band. By this point I haven’t played the drums for three years, but it reignites something in me.
Playimg drums in the doom bossa post rock duo Rymden, hej, where we improvise to old silent films. We play exactly one show, at a venue with a broken projector.
Hired by The Alley Escape Rooms to build escape rooms, write storylines, design puzzles and work out the marketing. I also have free range access to their workshop.
Learning CAD, and starting designing and 3D-printing my own tiny mechanical 80s inspired keyboards.
I play in many bands, one of them is Majorelle Blue. In 2020 we release our second EP, titled
Nostalgia Porn. Indie
critics dub it “the best
Swedish album of the year”, and call us “a cult band, still looking for their cult”.
We're still looking for our cult.
The third time I start up a studio, with thoughts of producing, recording and mixing other
artists that I find really interesting. I’m currently
focusing on short guitar band songs, or long audio art music pieces.
I've also been putting on DIY shows of my own, converting different spaces into makeshift venues,
inviting friends and family to play.
Open sourcing one of my keyboard designs, named batoid. It is featured in specialized blogs, and hyped on tiny niche Discord servers.
Exploring how improvised music can enhance stage poetry as a guest drummer for the house band at the poetry club ”MKT ORD”. I got the comment ”it’s never sounded like this before”. The day after I went to Moderna Museet, where I got recognized and complimented by some of the staff.
Continuing explorations on improvised music and stage poetry as the drummer at a live streamed show organised by NGBG and Loud Numbers with poet Anna Arvidsson at the mic. We are the opening act for the premiere of a 10h sleep music piece.
Explorations together with slam poetry champion Ingrid Stenlund. She read a piece about climate angst, I went wild on a drum kit built partially out of trash. Equal parts silly stupid and dead serious.
2025
batoid gets released in a limited edition aluminium version, by Chinese small scale manufacturer and fellow enthusiast Niuniu.
Arranging a series of ambient concerts together with Duncan Geere in an allotment garden in the middle of Malmö, where the sounds of the surrounding nature, wildlife, and audience became a part of the soundscape. He insist on calling it Kottegården. I use this name only on CV, because it makes me look good.
Running a creative tech and music lab together with Duncan Geere, where we explore sound and sustainability, and muck about with a bunch of sound making gadgets. Playing a bunch of live shows, releasing recordings, and publishing open source music tech.
FAM is a group that works with bettering the band culture in Malmö. In 2025 I joined and took part in booking, scheduling and arranging two stages at the NGBG festival, and a one day takeover of Loppen in Christiania. Yes, one of my bands where booked. No, I didn’t book us.
Majorelle Blues second EP, titled Nostalgia Porn is featured in Kult Magasin, as “one of the best releases of the decade”.
Artist recidency at STPLN Lab in Malmö, exploring new ground (to me) in the intersection (and fringes) of all the different art forms in my arsenal.
Playing the most high brow of the low brow genres Hammond Lounge, Latin Entertainment, and Easy Listening of the 60s and 70s. Mostly as a palette cleanser between the readings at poetry slams, giving each contestant a clean slate to work from. I always play on discount crate vinyl, always in a suit looking like a used car salesman. The vibe is ”space age bachelor pad”.
Inspired by ”MKT ORD” in Stockholm, poet Anna Arvidsson and I secured funding to organize a similar series of events in Malmö, featuring poets reading and interacting with improvised music. The premiere will be by the end of the year.
